Yearly cost = price per charge × charges per year (weekly 52, monthly 12, quarterly 4, every 6 months 2, yearly 1), rounded to the cent. Monthly = yearly ÷ 12, so weekly and yearly plans compare fairly. The spreadsheet adds categories, next renewal dates and 80 rows.

How it works

Subscriptions bill on different cycles, so their prices can't be compared as they are. Each one becomes a yearly cost: the price per charge times the charges per year (52 weekly, 12 monthly, 4 quarterly, 2 every six months, 1 yearly), and a monthly cost of a twelfth of that. In the example list, the $79.96 weekly meal kit is $4,157.92 a year, more than the other eight subscriptions together. Marking the gym and the meal kit to cancel saves $4,625.92 a year.
