What's inside
- Income log: date, client, category, amount; the tax set-aside is calculated per payment
- Expense log with a Business % column for mixed-use costs (e.g. 40% of your phone bill), dropdown categories, and a receipt check that flags anything missing
- Tax Payments log for the estimated payments you actually make
- Dashboard: year-to-date income, expenses, net profit and margin; a month-by-month table and chart; spending by category; your tax-savings balance
- US estimated-tax periods table, done right: the IRS periods are uneven (Jan–Mar, Apr–May, Jun–Aug, Sep–Dec), not calendar quarters
- Two files: a clean tracker and a full sample year, so you can see every total filled in first
Checked, not just designed: all 2,147 formulas recalculate with zero errors, and the sample dashboard was compared cell by cell against an independent calculation of the same data. Dates outside your tax year are ignored on purpose, and a check cell confirms the monthly and yearly totals agree.
Works in Excel and Google Sheets (File → Import) using only standard functions. Not tax advice: you choose the set-aside rate.
