Wedding cost per guest at 50, 80, 110, 150 and 200 guests: why bigger costs more but less per head

"Cost per guest" is quoted everywhere, but it changes with the guest count, because a wedding has two kinds of costs. Fixed costs (venue, photographer, flowers, attire, music, rings, officiant, transport, contingency) barely move. Per-guest costs (catering, rentals, stationery, cake, favors) grow with every name on the list.
Using one set of prices, $19,300.00 of fixed quotes and $94.50 per guest (catering $68, rentals $12, stationery $6.50, cake $5, favors $3):

Two things to take from this
- Every guest adds $94.50 here. Going from 110 to 150 guests adds $3,780.00.
- Cost per guest falls as the list grows, from $480.50 at 50 guests to $191.00 at 200, because the fixed costs are shared. A small wedding isn't cheap per head; it's cheaper in total.
